Last week Notre Dame ranked #5 in the first college football playoff ranking. I didn’t think the Irish were playing like a team of that ranking but after Notre Dame’s 42-30 victory over Pitt on Saturday I’m drinking the Kool Aid again. – Reuben
Notre Dame’s problematic red zone offense versus Pitt’s worse red zone defense. The Irish came out on top in that matchup by scoring 4 touchdowns in each of their visits.
Another topic discussed is the projection of Notre Dame’s running game with the injury of CJ Prosise. Josh Adams came in for the injured Prosise in the first half and ended the game with 20 carries and 147 yards and a receiving TD.
In my opinion this was Fuller’s best game. His speed and vision are not in question and on Saturday he displayed elite grit by twisting, turning and lunging for extra yards. He finished the game with 3 TDs, 7 catches and 152 yards.
